The latest data released by the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing and the China Logistics Information Center show that with the deepening of supply-side structural reform in the logistics field, in the first four months of this year, logistics demand maintained steady growth, logistics operation quality further improved, and the logistics industry continued its rapid development trend.
Data show that from January to April this year, the total social logistics volume in China was 76.0 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.0% at comparable prices, an increase of 1.1 percentage points over the same period last year, and a slight decline of 0.1 percentage point from the first quarter. The total social logistics cost was 3.6 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9.8%, and the growth rate slowed down, down 0.1 percentage point from the first quarter.
A major feature of logistics operations in the first four months is that the transformation of new and old kinetic energy has promoted the improvement of logistics demand structure. From the perspective of composition, while the logistics demand of traditional industries continues to recover, the support role of high-tech industries and equipment manufacturing industries in logistics demand is becoming increasingly obvious.
